six things i believe about work. one about the world.

how i work
- 01
craft over volume
making things is cheap now. taste & care are not. i would rather ship one thing that feels considered than ten that feel generated.
- 02
keep showing up
relationships, partnerships & communities grow from consistency. every partnership i have built worked for the same boring reason - i kept showing up.
- 03
a little delulu
experts tend to grow jaded about the future. shifting the zeitgeist takes undying optimism. i keep mine on purpose.
- 04
question the default
"that is how everyone does it" is the shortest route to average. i ask too many questions & think from first principles - the easiest way to avoid competing at all.
- 05
brevity
short emails. short meetings. short talks. if i cannot say it in one sentence, i do not understand it yet.
- 06
strong opinions, loosely held
i have plenty. i hold them loosely & update them when new information shows up.
irl, in the age of ai
ai is making us more socially distant. all the more reason to touch grass & do things irl - meet your friends, write letters, play chess.
taste & curation are among the hardest things for ai to get close to. if you have a special interest, pursue it. build your own taste.
